power generator9-20 kW Mobile Diesel Power Generator Products

EPS enclosed mobile diesel power generator units are designed to overcome common shortcomings found in many competitive units. They offer rugged commercial construction, verifiable output ratings, easy installation and maintenance – all at a very attractive price. Available in 9, 12 and 20 kW models, they are ideal for bus conversions, race trailers, a wide range of specialty vehicles, and more. Power is provided by a tough and reliable Kubota diesel engine.

9-20 kW Mobile Diesel Power Generator Standard Features

  • Convenient single side service, including access to the oil filter, fuel filter and air cleaner – all on the same side as the engine control panel and injection pump. Large, snap-latch locking doors are very easy to remove, and provide instant access to engine maintenance parts.
  • Installation is a breeze. Following the step-by-step instructions and using the provided floor template, simply slide the unit in, bolt it down, connect the fuel and battery (quick connects) and generator AC power lines, install an elbow and tailpipe, and you're set to go.
  • Numerous noise and vibration-reducing technologies are employed, resulting in an exceptionally quiet and smooth running unit.
  • Each unit is fully load bank tested to verify that performance meets specifications.
  • Automatic shutdown in the event of low oil pressure or high coolant temperature conditions.
  • Kubota water-cooled, 1800 RPM diesel engine ensures reliability, long life and low cost operation.
  • Conveniently-located fuel and battery quick-connect hook-ups.
  • Electric fuel pump for trouble-free fuel supply and convenient main AC circuit breaker.
  • Standard Remote Start Panel includes an hour meter, rocker-type Start/Stop switch and 1/4" diameter plug-in cable.
  • Includes operator's manual, schematic diagrams and installation instructions.

9-20 kW Mobile Diesel Power Generator Optional Features

  • Numerous mobile diesel power generator options are available, including remote-mountable auxiliary coolant tank (allowing the radiator to be filled from a remote location), remote-mount radiator, radiator plenum box and several remote control options.
  • Optional remote analog gauge panel (available for all models) includes water temperature and oil pressure gauges, digital DC meter, hour meter and rocker-type Start/Stop switch. Note: 20 kW mobile diesel power generator model also requires the optional Modular Control System (see below) in order to use the remote analog gauge panel.

Optional Modular Control System

The Modular Control System (MCS) provides the ultimate in control and monitoring capabilities, as well as easy integration with various inverters and transfer switches. The MCS includes a standard, remote mounted multi-position key switch that provides one-touch, automatic start and stop capabilities. The system also offers a by-pass control mode to allow operation in a "manual" mode without electronics.

The MCS can be operated remotely using several panel options:

  • Basic panel with an hourmeter.
  • Analog Gauge panel with oil pressure, water temperature, battery voltage, engine run hours and check engine fault light.
  • Deluxe LCD panel that can display four operational parameters simultaneously, including engine oil pressure, water temperature, charging volts, RPM, run hours, generator voltage, generator current, power consumption and frequency. The parameters displayed can be configured by the user or all parameters can be viewed in sequence using the scrolling display feature. The display also provides reminders for oil change and air filter change based upon the engine manufacturer factory recommendations. An additional AC metering option is available on the LCD display which provides the user with real-time generator voltage, current, power consumption and frequency.
  • All three remote panels have simple one touch automatic start/stop operation. In the event of a problem, the MCS automatically stops the genset and provides fault code information on the remote panel to identify the reason for the shutdown.

(1) All unit ratings are established at 1.0 power factor, 68 degrees F and 500 ft. above sea level. De-rate unit by 3.5% for every 1000 ft. above 500 ft. and 1% for every 10 degrees F above 68 degrees F.

(2) Sound level tests were performed on a unit in an open environment, pusher-fan model with all 5 generator cooling vents open. A typical installation will result in lower sound levels.
